I was totally and completely looking forward to making a post dedicated to my wonderful boyfriend whom I have been waiting to talk about. That post will have to come a different day, however. Something else just happened in the past couple of hours that made me completely refocus.
I have dyed my hair... I don't know how many times. Each time has been pretty successful (except once when I was in the eighth grade and turned my hair a nasty color). Today, I decided to take my nearly black hair and dye it a lighter shade of brown, a chocolate color. I was also going to put some red highlights in it. Before I did the highlights, I did the base color. Actually, I didn't do anything. My best friend, Cassi McGillvray was doing my hair for me. That's right. She dealt with my hair disaster today. On January 6th. Her BIRTHDAY. And this was AFTER she had cooked me a lovely dinner on her BIRTHDAY! Well anyway, little did we know, a disaster was on the way.
I rinsed out my hair and used the "after-color conditioner" like I was supposed to. When I got out, I stared in the mirror in horror. My roots had taken the color much more than the rest of my hair had. My roots were a light brown, orangish color, and the rest of my head was still covered in nearly black hair.
Throwing on some decent clothes, I forced Cassi back out in the freezing cold to head back to Wal-Mart for more dye. I ran in, got the dye, and ran back out to the car. Being the amazing friend that she is, she re-dyed my hair for me. The picture above is us while waiting for the new black dye to settle in my hair. Yeah, we're pretty funny. Thankfully, my hair ended up back to normal. The red highlights will wait a few days.
Other than that, I had school and work today. The reason I was going to choose today to make a post about my boyfriend was because he had a really bad day today, and I was thinking about him more than usual, hoping that his day would get just a little bit better 74.79 miles away from me. I don't think it did. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for the most important person in my life. I love you.
Well, it's snowing outside (in case you wanted a weather update). I'm hoping it will either snow or sleet enough to get school canceled. Most people assume it will. But you know what they say about assumptions...

Makes an ass out of you and me. :P
ReplyDeleteI laughed SO hard at the look on your face! I remember dying my own hair; it was supposed to be a gentler purple color and came out brilliant pink.
Ah...memories.
:D I miss your blondeness! Don't get me wrong, black suits you very well, but ya know! MEMORIES! lol
I'm glad you went with this picture. I give it 5 stars.
ReplyDeleteKiwi: I was not sad to see the blonde go, but I know what you mean about memories. lol.
ReplyDeleteSarah: I wouldn't have been brave enough if you hadn't prompted me on Facebook.
I liked the blonde, and I've seen the hair disasters, haven't had one yet, but my little sister did we got her natural red hair color and it tured fire red it was funny
